2018 Trustee President Letter

Brenda A. Griffith

My colleagues on the Osnaburg Township Trustee Board have continued to inspire me daily, each of them and I have answered the call of to serve our community. I personally value serving people and have volunteered as coach, scout leader, umpire, and youth leader. But, being elected to office has provided me the opportunity to share my successful knowledge in business, education, and experience in leadership having completed the Stark County Government Leadership Academy in 2014 and the State of Ohio Government Leadership Academy in 2015. My goal is to move our township forward with economic development that is environmentally safe, but development that will provide a revenue source that will ease the tax burden on our residents and provide as much community services as possible. Meeting with Mayor Almasy, we brought the village council and the township officials back together for communication sessions on how we can help each other and share resources. Our township land is our most valuable resource representing our culture and heritage and I do not want to lose anymore acreage to annexation. My request to join together on creating a community comprehensive plan was accepted and we will have our first joint community comprehensive plan between the township and the village that represents the vision for our community and our political decision processes as we move forward. Please send me your comments and suggestion as I believe that we are one team working towards a common goal.

Sincerely,

Brenda A. Griffith
